Hospice offers Respite Care, short-term relief for caregivers who need time to rest, recharge, and accomplish personal tasks that may have been delayed due to caregiving priorities. Under the Hospice Medicare Benefit, respite care patients may stay in our Hospice House or another contracted nursing facility for up to five days. Patients receiving respite care are treated like guests and receive 24-hour nursing services. Families and friends may come to visit at any time during a patient’s respite stay. Pets may also visit, when approved by medical staff.
