EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We are conducting a search for an Executive Director of Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA. This is an outstanding career opportunity to lead a thriving, nationally recognized nonprofit hospice situated in a historic and beautiful locale in southeast coastal Georgia. Working in collaboration with a dedicated Board of Directors, this high-visibility position will drive the mission and vision of the organization to ensure community access to the highest quality hospice and palliative care services in the region. In an effort to further strengthen its current and future services.  Hospice of the Golden Isles has recently become an affiliate of the nonprofit Alivia Care of Georgia, an innovative collaborative alliance dedicated to providing seamless care and support to patients with advanced illnesses.

HEALTHCARE & COMMUNITY RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE

The Healthcare & Community Relations Representative educates key medial and community-based referral sources about Hospice of the Golden Isles services; inclusive of access to hospice, palliative and delivery of end-of-life care with strong emphasis on customer service. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and community-based partners to ensure that sales messaging being delivered aligns with organizational expectations with the goal to help facilitate the best outcomes for patients, families, and referral sources by driving hospice-appropriate referrals.  

Requires a Bachelors’ degree or equivalent and a minimum of four years of documented sales success, or comparable post-acute care experience.  Clinical background is a plan.  Secondary language proficiency to English is a plus.  Requires ability to work well with leadership, physicians, healthcare administrators, and staff of affiliated organizations.  Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, good judgment, presentation, and communication skills.  Requires computer proficiency with EMR, in Microsoft office suite including spreadsheets and PowerPoint, customer management and sales force automation systems.  Able to work autonomously while supporting the needs of the company and team members.

CHAPLAIN – FULL-TIME/32 HOURS PER WEEK

Reporting to our Hospice House Patient Care Coordinator, the Chaplain provides consultation, education and support for patients and families, and members of the Hospice team, in keeping with the plan of care which is based on the patient’s priorities, wishes and goals. Assess the spiritual needs / concerns of patients and families by direct communication with the patient and family according to policies and procedures.

Requires ordination from a recognized denomination or faith community. Prefer MA, M.Div. or equivalent and appropriate endorsement for chaplaincy. Prefer 1- 4 units in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).  Hospice experience preferred. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team (IDT) and with denominations, religious organizations and other supportive communities. Prefer experience working with patients/families dealing with life-threatening illness and death. Ability to work as a member of interdisciplinary group, interfaith settings; ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values and network with community clergy and congregations. Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care. Working in patient’s home, residence, nursing home, or assisted living facility, as well as inpatient and residential. Includes driving throughout the five counties that HGI is licensed to serve.

PRN RN

1-2 years experience, licensed in the state of GA, current CPR certification. Must possess a valid driver’s license, complete a background check and post offer drug screen.
