Designated Gifts

There are many ways that you can designate your charitable donations. We can customize an opportunity to meet your specific goals. Please contact Patty Crosby, Vice President of Development, by phone 912.265.4735 or e-mail pattycrosby@hospice.me for more information. Below are some giving opportunities for your consideration.

  • The Hospice of the Golden Isles Endowment is a permanent fund, dedicated solely toward sustaining our mission of caring for those who need our specialized level of hospice care, regardless of ability to pay, in perpetuity. It’s being managed by the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation. For more information simply email Patty Crosby, Vice President of Development at PattyCrosby@hospice.me or call 912-617-1463. Checks should be made out to the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation and earmarked in the memo line for the Hospice of the Golden Isles Endowment. Or you can donate via credit card by clicking this link to the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation.
  • Neighbor Care: As the Only non-profit hospice serving our Southeast Georgia coverage area, we are committed to providing The Best Care When It Matters Most regardless of ability to pay. We believe that everyone deserves the same expert care and compassion. The annual cost for unfunded and underfunded care is almost $700,000. If you’d like to contribute toward this program, we welcome your gift of any size.
  • Bereavement: Providing compassionate support after the loss of a loved one is an important component of our hospice care. We offer this service to anyone in our community regardless if they used Hospice of the Golden Isles. The annual cost for our bereavement services is $100,000. We welcome gifts of all sizes to support this program.
  • Veterans Support: We are proud to serve our military men and women who have given so much for our country. If you would like to designate your donation toward residential care at our Hospice House for one of our Veterans who have financial limitations, the cost for six months of residential care amounts to $36,000. We are grateful for all gifts toward this program.
  • Children’s Care: Caring for a loved one with a serious illness is hard enough, but families with children who are coping with a life-limiting illness face special challenges emotionally and financially. The costs for care, including prescription medications, medical supplies and equipment, can be much greater than what insurance will cover. Our hospice team makes sure that our patients have what they need, covering those extra expenses. We also offer specially tailored bereavement services for children who have lost a parent or close family member. The cost for this specialized care for children exceeds $10,000 annually. If you’d like to contribute toward this program, we are appreciative of all gifts.
